Frequently Asked Questions

When does the course start and finish?
You'll get the first segment within moments of signing up, and subsequent segments will be sent to you every few days for a month. There's no limit on how many times you watch the segments, so you can revisit them as many times as you like.
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
This isn't my first child, is the course still relevant to a second (or third) time mom?
Absolutely. Some of our most enthusiastic students are second time moms, who want to take better care of themselves the second time around (having seen what can happen!).
I have a lot of support from my mom/sister/friends. Is this course still useful?
We are so thrilled that you have a community to help you! It really does take a village to raise a child, and to become a mother. We don't want to replace your loved ones, but the expertise of 16 experts in maternal health just adds to your support system. The material in this course isn't stuff your mom will already know - in fact, you may find her recovering from her own birth experience as you learn together, even if it was 30 years ago or more.
My baby is 3 months old now and I think I'm getting the hang of things, is there still relevant material for me in here?
Yup. You are just at the beginning, and we are so glad to hear that you're finding your feet. Motherhood is a wild ride, and as your baby develops, you will too. We anticipate your needs and have the support and information you need before you even know you need it, until about the 24 month mark.
Can I gift this course to a new mom or mom-to-be?
Absolutely. Sign them up, then send them a note with their password. Moms are the worst at taking care of themselves - so a push from someone who cares about them goes a long way to giving them help they didn't know they needed.

Your Guide

Rachel Schipper
Rachel Schipper

Hi! My name is Rachel, and I'll be your guide for this offering. I'm a mom, lawyer, and the founder of Curated Wellness.

I have about twenty years of diverse wellness training, including nutrition, meditation, counselling, yoga, and lifestyle design. I've studied with some of the world's top health and wellness experts, including Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; Ben Wong and Jock McKeen, founder of the Haven Institute; Shiva Rea, yoga teacher and pioneer; Regena Thomashauer, Founder of Mama Gena’s School for Womanly Arts, and many other leading researchers and wellness authorities. I hold degrees from the London School of Economics, Osgoode Hall Law School, the University of Toronto, and the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

But a lawyer? Well, yes. I was a lawyer on Wall Street. It was pretty rad. That experience taught me a lot about health and happiness - but I'd been searching for ways to live better for a long time before I became an Esquire.

I put the power of legal analysis together with my deep knowledge about wellbeing to curate holistic offerings for urban professionals. I run pretty awesome workshops and design wellness programs for great organizations, and coach people 1:1. When I became a mom, I realized that no one was curating wellness for us. And we need it! So, the New Mom Dream Team was born (and they are beautiful!).

It's my pleasure to put my finest research and (softie) cross-examination skills together to make your experience of motherhood as wonderful as it can be. See you in the videos!
